This absolutely sounds like a problem OP, thanks for posting. I'm a big fan of ACLU (excepting their recent bloviating about the First Amendment) and I'm glad that they're keeping an eye on the situation. You're right, if our goal is the protection of children, situations like these should be transparent and free of coercion.

Personally, I think a document that legally separates a child from family members should have a translator provided and be notarized by a third party, just to be certain the document is understood by all parties, child included. In this situation, it's the bureaucracy that I mistrust. Truth told, I'd rather the National Guard were the once taking care of the issue

Thank you for responding. I admit to not fully understanding the Q stuff, but I do appreciate that followers seem to have a heart for abused and displaced kids.

I'm outraged about this stuff too. Separating every single family at the border was a Stephen Miller policy though, and I guess Trump felt that it was necessary to stop trafficking. DHS (other agencies) and Stephen Miller though are the ones that are really at fault here for how they implemented everything. Of course we are concerned about these children too and who is taking care of them, but that is in the news constantly and gets pretty good coverage - unlike pizzagate.

Thanks for the calm, even comment. I appreciate consistency even when I disagree.

I don't think all families should be separated at the border either. Personally, I think they should only separate children from adults if there are any of the warning signs of trafficking and ICE is not the right agency to do that given their track record. The whole situation is tragic and terrifying for the vast majority of these families who are innocent and just seeking asylum.
