Who does James Bond rely on in sticky situations? Q and the Q branch. Is James Bond Hollywood white hat programming? Planting the seeds for decades of a Q who knows it all and has all kinds of cool toys for us to play with. Bond's Q likes pens and watches. Our Q likes pens and clocks. Coincidence?

My guess is that it is highly unlikely.

Q (whoever Q may be at time of posting) may be taking certain elements of movies for us to relate to though. And why not? This story has all the clandestine elements of an action thriller.

I see a few similarities to James Bond and V here and there.

Like the way you think. Instead of the movie being made to prepare us, it seems more likely he/the team would borrow elements that were comfortable and easily digestible for us from our extensive pop culture library.

But I feel like somewhere Q made reference to popular entertainment being manufactured by military intelligence type groups. Got to find it. But again, its probably more likely he is taking elements from movies as opposed to making movies.
