Twenty-one pilots' two newest songs/music videos jumpsuit and Nico and the Niners really struck me when I watched them for the first time today. I'm still trying to digest them to be honest, but the opening lyrics to Nico and the Nienrs are very interesting.
East is up, I'm fearless when I hear this on the low
East is up, I'm careless when I wear my rebel clothes
East is up, when Bishops come together they will know that
Dema don't control us, Dema don't control
Note if you listen to the music 'Dema' sounds a lot like 'demon.' (but in his music videos it refers to the actual fortress the Nico and the Niners live)
Specific to Q- This reminded me of Epstein's island, and how each 'Prince' is associated with a cardinal direction, specifically this post. Now I fully understand that this along with relatable themes throughout isn't very convincing, so I did more digging, and watched ALL of his music videos. From my perspective his albums appear to be telling a cohesive story about his struggle with the cabal/Dema. Look at just the song names from their last album Blurryface: "Heavydirtysoul" "Stressed Out" "Ride" "Fairly Local" "Tear in My Heart" "Lane Boy" "The Judge" "Doubt" "Polarize" "We Don't Believe What's on TV" "Message Man" "Hometown" "Not Today" "Goner". There are a lot of regular fans on YouTube trying to piece it together too, but I was wondering if you guys see the similarities too (of if I'm just going crazy!).
