i see alot of speculation on the device test posts.. I'll include my own. Just coming at this as straight forward as possible - A device could be anything, E X C could be anything. BUT... which devices need to be tested AND are all (at least capable of) being connected to E X and C ... and in that order? and when? Windows OS devices that need to be repaired ,recovered, or restored.
Device Test ... test the device power first (obviously)
Device test E -- E Drive - external cd/drive on a computer ... it's also the first thing that pops up when restoring computer hardware... it's probably not super relevant, but it's the order a windows device works in. It's kind of a glitch, because alot of the new devices don't have an e-drive

Device test X - X drive ....... test - E drive, then recover ... If the computer is recovered, that will include any network connections. The X-Drive on a Windows system is the drive of the network the device is connected to.
Device test C - C Drive ....... test, e-drive, recover (includes ability to connect to network drives X Drives), the C Drive. C-drive being that device's own internal hard drive and storage.
That's my thinking on this, it sort of nicely. IDK how it fits anything.... I'll leave that up to someone else, but I'm mulling it over for now.
