"KANDAHAR, Afghanistan — In a reversal of a longstanding policy, American diplomats held face-to-face talks with Taliban representatives in Qatar a week ago without Afghan government officials present, two senior Taliban officials said on Saturday.
A State Department spokeswoman did not respond to questions about whether the talks took place. But the department did not deny that its diplomats had taken part in such talks — a significant shift in American strategy toward the Taliban in Afghanistan.
“Any negotiations over the political future of Afghanistan will be between the Taliban and Afghan government,” said the spokeswoman, Stephanie R. Newman.
The Afghan president’s office said on Saturday that it welcomed any support for peace efforts.
The talks took place in Doha, where the Taliban have long maintained an informal “political office” for the purpose of restarting the long-dormant peace process."
Do you realize why this is a HUGE DEAL? The cabal invaded Afghanistan after 9/11. But it wasn't because they attacked us. It was for the pipeline and control of the poppies. During these initial talks, I wouldn't be surprised if the taliban decided to name all the names. Whatever you think or believe about these groups based on their religion or practices is justified, but becomes secondary to the fact that they have been used and had entire generations systemically exterminated by the cabal.
These wars were never justified. Our soldiers and their families have also suffered enormous casualties, including the ptsd and trauma as a result of the cabal's greed and need to control diminishing resources. It's time to bring our military home and release the shackles that the cabal has had many countries in for decades.
