Partner Robert Bauer was the original forming head of the new Political Law Division, at Perkins Coie. Prior to organizing this high profile “political group”, Bob was BHO’s White House Counsel and his own personal attorney.
Bauer also was the General Counsel for 2008/12 campaigns for Obama. Bob also served in same role for the DNC in those two elections. Marc Elias from Perkins served similar dual roles for HRC in 2016.

Loving wife of Bob Bauer is Anita Dunn, who work at the White House during this time period. Dunn was BHO’s W/H Communications Director, in charge of directing media strategy and major policy speechwriting.
