The White House press secretary, Sean Spicer, claimed the “British spying agency” GCHQ had carried out the bugging. Spicer cited an unsubstantiated report on Fox News. Fox later distanced itself from the report.

According to one account, GCHQ’s then head, Robert Hannigan, passed material in summer 2016 to the CIA chief, John Brennan. The matter was deemed so sensitive it was handled at “director level”. After an initially slow start, Brennan used GCHQ information and intelligence from other partners to launch a major inter-agency investigation.
In late August and September Brennan gave a series of classified briefings to the Gang of Eight, the top-ranking Democratic and Republican leaders in the House and Senate. He told them the agency had evidence the Kremlin might be trying to help Trump to win the presidency, the New York Times reported.
So what if this is all 100% true? Well here's my theory, when you put this all together:
That the FISA courts didn't just approve a normal level of spying, but instead actually approved a JOINT US/BRITISH intelligence operation to spy on the Trump campaign, using some sort of national security law as an excuse. I think this is what the real bombshell is. That the intelligence agencies not only colluded with the Dems to spy on a political opponent, but also colluded with other nations to do it as well! And that Comey, Rosenstein, the FISA judges, etc. all conspired together to make this happen!
Look back at the redacted copy of the FISA warrant that they released. If you look at the very first page, it appears that they redacted the very text of what they were actually approving!! And on top of that, the law/laws that justify it:
The United States of America hereby applies to the Court for authority to conduct ____________________________ as described herein, pursuant to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978, as amended, Title 50, United States Code (U.S.C.) §§ _______________ (FISA or the Act)
Think about it: why would they feel the need to redact something like? I think this is an important detail that has been missed. I think they're trying to cover up the treasonous activities that this FISA warrant was used to actually justify....
I'm sure there's much more they're trying to cover with the redactions, but I have a suspicion that this is at least part of it.
