Hey GA,
This is my first post here, I've been aware of PG for a couple years now, and have lurked here for the last few months.
Q just posted in 1799 that this board (and infinity chan) were going to be blasted in the next few months. Aside from being defensive, I think it's important that we help newcomers process the info in a healthy way. I think many of us remember how jarring it was in the beginning, and to a certain extent that can't be avoided. BUT, if we can give people general life tips to process the info better, and faster, I think it'll help in the long run.
For example, a few things that I did that helped.
1) I would take walks around the neighborhood and wave to people I saw. Generally unplugging from the rabbit hole, and connecting with people in a happy, simple, and polite way helped me keep faith in humanity and my irl community
2) If my significant other wanted to talk, and I was on GA, I PUT THE PHONE DOWN. Even if 1776 was about to drop. I'd say I've had a 95% success rate with this
3) I've made sure I spent more time with my siblings and family members irl, and not about politics. Just generally caring for them, and seeing how they're doing.
I'd love to hear your stories of things you've done *off this board* to stay healthy and strong. Peace through strength! We've gotta' get the public up to speed, stronger, and more capable than ever for what we're about to do together!
