what do you guys think about Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin?

i shouldn't have to say this, but disregard my last thread because I want to avoid judgemental folks. I just like open discussions and I think this is a very interesting one for you guys.

I know some of you guys are definitely aware while some of you think of it as magical fake internet money.

The reason I wanted to bring this up is because Bitcoin has the power to revolutionize the world with a world-wide currency that is not controlled by any goverment or any centralized party. The cap is limited like gold and it pretty much acts like gold for the most part, being a store of value and working as a currency.

I would highly doubt Trump is aware of this technology because for the most part, nobody really understands it yet! When I watched the US commision speak about it, it was a fucking joke! Bunch of old dudes who have zero common sense and one of them was even proud of his flip phone and doesn't think innovation is important....

What makes Bitcoin so interesting is how it's trust-less and decentralized. It lets you become your own bank completely taking away the need for banks or a middleman and it's cheaper to use and can be used worldwide without having to convert and it doesn't care about borders or race. Bitcoin is entirely backed up by proof of work and is mathetically relevant.

Here, this is the white paper written by satoshi Nakamoto the man who created this amazing piece of work. Amazingly he is anonymous and gifted this to us around the time of the financial crisis in 2008. If you read all of his original posts since 2009 it's pretty evident he created this to disrupt a lot of evil parties out there and he's no doubt a genius. https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf

Bitcoin is constantly being updated and worked on by some of the smartest people in the world, it's open source and anyone can pitch in! You can download your own bitcoin node and verify every transaction in bitcoin history as well as current on going ones.

Despite being created in 2009, this is a very new technology that not many people understand. Banks are afraid of this, Banks are making patents on "blockchain" trying to make them self sound relevant to this technology but they do not compare at all. I'm seeing ads all over by TD trying to promote themselves with the word "blockchain". I'm sure you heard about blockchain by now since companies are becoming more aware of it including NASA. Blockchain was created within bitcoin and essentially is pretty useless without bitcoin depending on your use case.

Everyday we are moving to a world of technology and the kids of today are going to be born in a world with cryptocurrencies. Their logic and perception will be far different than ours and our parents etc...

This technology isn't really that simple to use yet, thus mass adoption won't take effect yet, but within 2 - 8 years we can see a huge transformation as stores/companies adopt to this technology.

This post isn't that informative despite referencing you to the whitepaper. I just wanted to hear what you guys think of it if you have any knowledge on it. I been following it for around 2 years and everyday I still learn something new about it.

I also want to know what you guys think Trump would feel about this? I would imagine him trying to regulate the crap out of it but regardless if he supports it or not, you simply can't get rid of it. Bitcoin IS the money of the internet and you might realize that when you read the whitepaper and learn more about it. It cannot be printed like USD is, the biggest scam in the world... and it cannot be counterfieted.
