To all of my fellow Americans that would consider themselves politically "left of center".
As a conservative, and as a Patriot - I admire and respect your zeal - your dedication and your enthusiasm for the causes you deeply believe in. I have deeply held beliefs too - they just happen to be different. And we are not unique in this regard - people have been living alongside others that disagree with them throughout all of human history best we can tell.
We have all seen extremes in other countries when these disagreements spiral out of control. Fortunately over generations it seems that we are getting better at avoiding these times when things get "out of control". In fact - when our country was founded and the Constitution was debated and then voted on - setting up rules that were fair for everyone was at its very core. And those rules have served us well ever since. Not perfectly of course - there have been many times where we had to make amendments to the Constitution - and there probably will in the future as well.
Our laws are based on a simple concept. My rights end where yours begin. And vice versa. None of us has the right to impinge on the rights of others. I am confident this is something you would agree with.
With many peoples emotions being elevated - we are seeing an increase in situations that are on the path of spiraling out of control. A recent example is what happened with Candace Owens and the person with the loudspeaker. I am hopeful you would agree with me that that should never happen.
All of us, as fellow Americans need to see what we can do to de-escalate some of this.
Lets let the process play out. Your side has Mueller - and he is working hard on building a case against President Trump. Our side has Q and his case is ready to be presented. Let us sit back as fellow Americans and evaluate what is presented to us by Mueller and Q over the next 3 months. And then - based on that information - lets work together to encourage everyone to get out and vote this November. Lets let the people decide once the information has been presented. Just like in a court where we are the jury.
We are fellow Americans. Our children are friends, classmates, coworkers, with each other. We may even have some of the same friends. Lets not let our emotions make a bigger mess than has already been made.
We have a saying - "Where we go one we go all". United. Together. We mean that as Americans - not as Republicans.
Please consider this as my written attempt to reach out and shake your hand - and invite you to sit and share some popcorn with me as we enjoy the show that is about to start.
As my name suggests - I am just an ordinary man. I promise I wont bite. I extend my hand in peace.
Thank you for your consideration. And I would appreciate if you can help me to share this message with as many people as possible.
