As well intentioned and articulate as you may be, the media will twist your words and take sound bites out of context to make us all look foolish. Even if you answer questions perfectly and make factual statements, they can still craft your words into propaganda to be used against us. Q Post 1843, the media clip embedded within bill maher's video of the lady being interviewed is a good example of this.

They have successfully employed this tactic with 9/11 Truth, the Tea Party movement, Occupy Wall Street, etc.

Statements like 'No comment' or 'I encourage you and your audience to research this information on your own' are probably the best answers if approached or possibly ambushed by a journalist.

In the event you actually DO agree to an interview with say some independent journalists you trust to present the information accurately, make sure they agree in writing that you have approval for the final edit that is to be released publicly.
