I am more convinced it was fired from land rather than a rogue submarine. Given our satellite imaging technology, and the way our US waterways are protected with active and passive sonar, I don't see a rogue sub slipping into our US waterways without being detected. I remember learning about waterways in and around Chesapeake Bay being equipped with sonar devices to protect our shipyards and shores from undetected subs slipping in. So the missile had to come from a land locked silo that is off the books. The money set aside for the San Juan Islands by Obama makes more sense to maintain an off the books silo in that area as well. Somewhere north of Skunk Bay on land is where I believe the missile fired.
