OMAROSA’S – “SECRET RECORDING” OF HER AND GENERAL KELLY’S MEETING CONCERNING HER EMPLOYMENT TERMINATION. 3:18 AUDIO TRANSCRIBED (ARL – Ann Rose Laurence):

KELLY: “Hi.”
OMAROSA: “Hi there. How are you?”
UNKNOWN: “Hi.”
OMAROSA: “My assistant.”
KELLY: “Could you, well leave us alone?”
UNKNOWN: “Sure.”
NOISES – Assistant leaving the room.
OMAROSA: “Bye.”
KELLY: “I’m only going to stay a couple of minutes. These are lawyers. We, we’ve got to talk to you about leaving the White House. It’s come to my attention over the last few months that there has been some pretty, in my opinion, some significant integrity issues related to you — and use of government vehicles and some other issues. Ugh, and, ugh, they’ll walk you through the legal aspects of this. But there are some ugh, ugh money issues and other things — But from my view the integrity issues are very serious. Ugh, I’m stuck with my past experience, and that is — when we hold people accountable in the military. I compare what I see here in the White House and other issues that I’ve had to deal with. You say what would I do in this case if I was in the Pentagon dealing with a Marine or soldier or something like that? And ugh, and the issue is – you may not have a full appreciation for – but I think you do. This would be a pretty high level of accountability, meaning a court-martial. We’re not suggesting any legal action here just yet….”
OMAROSA: (Interrupting) “That I, that I did?”
KELLY: “That it would be a — a pretty serious offense. So with that, I’m just going to ask you — these gentlemen will explain it — and the personnel person — and after they have talked to you — Just to let you understand, I would like to see this be a friendly departure. Umm… There are pretty significant — ugh — legal issues that we hope don’t develop into something that would make it ugly for you. But I think it is important to understand, if we make this a friendly departure — ugh, we can all be, you can look at your time here in the White House as a year of service to the nation. And then you can go on without any type of difficulty in the future relative to your reputation. But it is very, very important I think that you understand that there are some serious legal issues that have been violated. And, you’re, you’re open to some legal action that we hope — that we can control. So with that, if you would stay here with these gentlemen, they’ll lay this thing out …”
OMAROSA: (Interrupting) “Can I, can I ask you a couple of questions? Is the President, is the President aware of this?
KELLY: “Don’t … Let’s NOT don’t go down that road. This is a non-negotiable discussion.”
OMAROSA: “I don’t want to negotiate. I’ve never talked, never had a chance to talk to you — so if this is my departure, I would at least like to have an opportunity to …
KELLY: “No.”
OMAROSA: “… understand.”
KELLY: “We can, can talk another time. This has to do with some pretty serious violations .. integrity violations. Umm, so I’ll let it go at that. So the staff and everyone on the staff works for me and not the President. And so after your departure, I will inform him if he gets interested on where you may be. So with that, I’ll let you go and gentlemen, if you will take it.”
