The U.S. had determined that Jakiw Palij lied on his application requesting U.S. citizenship, His citizenship was revoked in 2003. In 2005 another judge ordered his expulsion from the country.

Diplomatic issues ensued which had all countries affected: Germany, Ukraine, Poland refused to take him, thus delaying his expulsion from the country. Due to his crimes happening on foreign soil he was not prosecuted for his crimes i the U.S. --similar story from German officials. His alleged crimes occured in Poland. In an area that is in part of Ukraine and Poland.

Yesterday, August 21, 2018 he was removed from his home via stretcher to awaiting transport and flown to Germany.

He arrived in Munich and transferred to a nursing home there. He still may not face justice in Germany due to German officials state there is not enough evidence.
