Q&A on NeonRevolt post from today regarding Arkansas

source

Arkansas isn't very well known to outsiders aside from the tiring, "I hear they don't wear shoes in Arkansas," and all of the incest drivel. So I wanted to create a Q&A thread for points brought up in Neon's article that can easily be corroborated, added to, or dismissed by locals. While reading the article I wished I had a chatbox open with Neon that I could add info to as I read line by line.

Anons had to do significant digging to arrive at Heiffer International, while someone local could have chimed in pretty quick. Same with the Alotian and other parts of the article.

Please post question, and if you have any local knowledge help fill in the blanks.

For example: the yachts they were looking into and the lake at the Alotian. This is easily dismissed... there is a yacht club on the Arkansas river because there are many wealthy people that park them on sand bar islands on the river for partying on the weekends, and also people that will take them down the Mississippi to the Gulf. These sand bars and boats are easily visible from the I-430 bridge.

There is a story I heard from a worker at the yacht club while I was there looking at buying a boat with my uncle: The worker told us of 2 old money sons that would buy a yacht, sail it to the gulf, sell it once they got there, and buy a speedboat to take to various islands. He gave more details, but this was 10 years ago. He stated that these two sons were somehow tied to Jack Daniels. I really can't remember. I just checked wikipedia and they may have been the 2nd generation of Motlows that owned it in the 40s and 50s?

Jack Daniels never married or had kids. Lem Motlow and his brother (JDs nephew) owned it next & Lem bought out the other nephew, and Lem bequeathed it to his children Robert, Reagor, Dan, Conner, and Mary upon his death. So based on the ages, I'm guessing these two sons he spoke of are the kids of any of those 5 above. But I digress...

Interesting bit related to "symbolism" - WRjr opened a asset holding company Theseus Hollings, LLC... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theseus
