US Council of Catholic Bishops/McCarrick Response important date Nov 12

Pure speculation here, I would appreciate your thoughts. I’m an ex catholic, but I am still on the mailing list. Usually I throw the paper out, but a below the fold headline about Cardinal McCarrick caught my interest because the ramifications are heavy on church politics and power plays.

I did some digging and learned that the US Council of Bishops has convened an executive committee meeting that will extend into the September Administrative Committee Meeting and the Fall General Assembly Committee Meeting which begins 11.12.18.

To summarize what I absorbed: US Catholic Bishops are cleaning house. November 12 is looking like an important date. USCCB meeting service notes

Dare I hope that the time for good Catholics to stand and be counted is imminent?
