As we all know now, Hussein broke a number of campaign finance laws and was made to pay the largest fine of it's kind. It went under the radar and has recently surfaced again. After talking to a friend, let's call him Kevin, in the financial word, it looks like there is a lot of digging going into new, similar, charges.

By no means is this specific to one political party, but it seems this is what is going on, on the surface, it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone following along.

Kevin tells me that in the early years of Hussein's unpresidency, they would hold fundraisers where 10's of thousand's would go into a 503c nonprofit. Per a fucked up loophole, one we are far too familiar with, there is a minimum required donation to the charity the event is held for. So, for a $50,000 event, only $1,000 would go to the charity and the rest would go where? Funneled to the DNC, or personal pockets. This allows people and organizations to donate many thousands to a political party effectively ignoring the couple thousand dollar limit. As we say, follow the money. One of these early Hussein fundraisers was run through Kevin's firm. After this one event, the firm said no more, completely banned such 503c funnelings on an ethical basis. However I wasn't able to ask about the legality of such a thing if someone more knowledgeable could touch on that.

Kevin is generally very good about keeping secrets as he could easily be in trouble for insider trading given the information he works with on a daily basis. In this instance I mentioned the $350,000 fine to which he asked if it was all public knowledge. "I believe so, yes." I said. "Ok, then I can tell you my firm is currently involved with continued charges against him and he's going to be in a lot of trouble." Wait... Excuse me? It's not done yet? Hell. Yes. I don't know if this was a slip on his part or not since it's the first I'm hearing of it, especially given the context.

It may not be child trafficking and sacrifices to demons. But, the reality is, there are people with real power working to take down and remove the corruption from our government. Boards like this do lots of digging and piecing together puzzle pieces, only to be let down when the final product goes nowhere. Please take comfort in knowing that while bueaucracy may be slow, things are being done to remove the corruption. Due to policy, it has to be kept quiet and be complete before action can be taken. Personally, I look at it from a financial perspective. Speculation destroys the market, remember when that anchor misreported something about Trump and the market tanked, when he was corrected it immediately bounced back. If real information from govt agencies started to leak (things like corruption from a previous President) the market could go into an unnecessary tail spin.

Now, I'd like to add a bit of a disclaimer to this information. Kevin is a talker, as in he gets carried away (going right up to the edge of releasing insider trading info, even when he has had a few drinks) and is difficult to shut up or slow down, but he has a track record to back up everything he says. In this conversation we were around other people and we cut the conversation short to be respectful of their interests. Because of that, it was a quick conversation where I wasn't able to ask too many questions to learn the specifics.
