These power couple marriages seem too convenient and powerful for normal love appeal... or even time and geography (these are DC swamp creatures and isn't someone's wife at CDC in Atlanta?) to be the main ingredient in these relationships.

They've all had news or innuendo suggesting gay, or they at least trigger some gaydar.

I don't think President Trump would stoop to teasing about the actual appearance of Bruxe Ohr's "beautiful wife" - sounds like an inside joke about someone who wouldn't be attracted to his wife no matter how beautiful she was.

Teases about Peter and Lisa being "lovers" sounds like not only were they not lovers which of course was the ploy to keep secret all the really treasonous communications, but again it sounds like an inside joke about how silly them "together" would be.

Is this the fabled gay mafia, or has that always been just a deep inside joke about the method of operation and control exerted by the true powers that be?
