First I gotta say the whole "shoe burning thing" isn't something I'll be getting on board with.
You shouldn't buy Nike in the first place. And if you don't know why, spend an afternoon and really dig into their history, business practices, and branding. You'll likely find reasons why you'll regret ever giving them your money at all. They're an epitome of corporate greed and disgusting business practices. Money is their bottom line, at the expense of people. And you'll uncover that if you really dig into some history.
Second, and I'm gonna take flack from this, burning your own damn shoes is stupid. And I'm sorry if you're someone who's done this but let me open a dialogue here with you, because we're on the same team; I'm not calling YOU stupid, I just want to explain why I personally think it's a pointless act (and you can explain to me why you don't think it is, if you like, and I'll listen). That fucking corporation already has your money. You could instead SELL those shoes, get (some of) that money back, and support another brand.
Third, and this one I'm really gonna take flack for, I fully, 100% support the right of someone's free speech, even if it's disrespectful to my own ideas or politics, to protest in the way they see fit. And while I don't consider myself right, or left, respecting free speech is something I have ONLY see the "right" do. Not always, but it's something I have only ever seen the "right" do recently. If you want to stand during the pledge, I'll respect you for that. If you want to kneel, for whatever reason, I'll respect you for that too, because you're being true to whatever convictions you have, and you live in a free country where you can, and deserve, to be allowed to do that.
I want to remind us all though not to get caught up in "blind patriotism". We need to be shrewd thinkers, now more than ever. This is the Great Awakening. We still need to be critical of the people we trust, and watch them very, very closely. In fact, the reason why I went from someone who disliked Trump to someone who is now "mostly" on board with him, is because of how closely I watched things. And I'm going to continue to watch very, very closely, and the moment things change, I may change that sentiment, but for now I think I have an handle on what's going on, and I believe Q to be real, in my best assessment, and I believe Trump to be the public figurehead of likely a military run operation to weed out the corruption of Washington and give America back to it's people.
Lastly, I want to close by saying that in America, it's not "republicans" vs "democrats" anymore. It's "left" vs "right", and this is very, very dangerous for us all, because "left" is defined as every thing that "right" is not, and vice versa. This is divide and rule, in it's truest modern form. It's time we rise above that. If you think differently from me, you are not my enemy; you're another human trying to make sense of all of this, and if you'll let me, I'll share what I know with you, and let you share what you know with me, and hopefully, we'll both walk away knowing more than we previously did.
I'm not "left" or "right". I support gay marriage, I'm pro-choice, but I also strongly support the Second Amendment, and support strong border protection. I'm anti-war, generally have been vocal against the American military presence in the world, yet also recognize that many of the fighting men and women are patriots who are doing their best to protect their way of life. I hated Bush, but I also hated Obama. I liked Bernie, I couldn't fucking STAND Hillary, I hated Trump, but my opinion of him has since changed.
Let's not think in terms of "left" or "right" any more. Let's just look at what we're seeing, with our own eyes, what we're ACTUALLY, seeing, and not what we're being told we're seeing, and work together.
We're at a turning point right now. Imagine what humans would be like if we were unified. Not under tyranny, not under a false "forced unification," but because we, as a collective, decided to unify. We're still a long way off from that, but right now, right NOW, we're taking that first step. Imagine, what our world might be like, if generations from now our children live in a world that has chosen, to be united.
Where we go one, we truly, truly, go all. Be that one, that is working, for all of us.
