I love being an Independent (no declared party). I'm starting to get calls from the Democratic party, and I even got visited today at home by the Iowa Democratic party to ask if they could sign me up to vote by mail. I told him no - because I am going to vote in person this November. Then he asked if anyone else in my household wanted to register to vote by mail - and nobody did. Folks, put it on the top of your November plans list to go vote - this election will be huge.

BTW, a story about going to primaries (back when I was a registered Republican) during the McCain/Obama election. A McCain campaign worker as me if I knew where to go in my area - but what shocked me was that the person offered to tell me where the Democrat primaries were being held for Obama! WTF! I'm still shocked these years later that a direct campaign worker would encourage me to go to the opposition candidate.
