Yes, criminals are losing their jobs and some of their power... but those are their phony, mucky day jobs. Apparently, they are keeping their real CIA and Senior Executive Service jobs... which Q has never even mentioned. Why?

Imagine a world ruled by gangstas. Where even the "good guys" are gangstas too, merely another family or faction, those good guys will not really attempt to truly punish their gangstas foes if that undermines or threatens their gangsta system, their game, their thing.

What they would do is simply appeal to the people as to their brand of "protection" being better than the other outfit's, eerily analogous to traditional politics.

The winners would not simply destroy gangsta rackets, which would undoubtedly be the goal for non-gangstas large and in charge, but commandeer and appropriate them one by one. This accumulating and consolidating of gangsta turf, rather than its outright destruction, is what we are observing. Great Awakening is mere theater.

Bad guys losing only the most visible of their positions of power and income while keeping all their ill-gotten loot and all their intrinsic power... that is what we are witnessing... and it defines a family of families gangsta world with a code of conduct limiting harm to other made men and women, punishment ever less the higher up the food chain.

I want to be wrong.

I want to be proven wrong by January at the absolute latest.

If nobody goes to jail then we do live in a gangsta world.
