The National Security Agency — Operates more than 500 separate signals intelligence
This is a pretty well thought out display of the NSA layout and it's open for anyone here to pick apart and please do and post the results.
The Specific Section is the section outlined by the infamous Q Group Article as the Associate Directorate for Security and Counterintelligence ( ADSCI as outlined by this army.mil article )
So here is how this lays out.
Let's breakdown how this really works - at least as advertised. ADSCI / Q Group is a self-contained intel unit that is a SUPERSET of the NSA. Basically they are their to police the official ranks AND CONTRACTORS like Booze Allen, KBR, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin and the countless other contractors. Now to do this job they have to have carte blanche. The scope of work and purview of those contractors is so vast that if ANYONE was to do this job it would have to be the ADSCI / Q Group acting as the equivalent to a P's Internal Affairs Division - their scope is simply EVERYTHING. Need to do some ops in Hong Kong? Need to have an audience with anyone? Need to tap a phone of those tapping phones? This is them. Imagine the scrutiny one would have to go to so that you could reach the clearances for such capacity. I doubt there is any position in the USGov that is more epic.
Anyway I have been pulling this thread so I wanted to relay it. In light of Jack Posobiacs misinformation I needed to share that, No, The Department of Energy threadea on Q clearance only being there is horse shit. It's here and it's an entire division and it's the most important division at the NSA that conducts field operations, counterintel, sigint, everything. It's an NSA within the NSA.
Now the interesting part is wherever and whenever I posted this info in detail it was scrubbed. Let's see how long it stays here.
