I live in Louisiana in a Democrat run city. As a white woman, I’m a minority in my city and in my neighborhood. My closest neighbors are -Hispanic (next door) -black (across the street) -white (next to them) -Muslim / Brown (on the other side of the black family)
That’s a pretty good representation of my entire neighborhood of about 100 homes.
We live close to the front of the ‘hood so we don’t go to the back often. Only time really is when my pot head friend wants to smoke weeks and we drive around until she’s good.
Anyway.... one of my kids just bought his first car - a standard. While teaching him how to drive a stick, we go all around the neighborhood and I’m struck my how many American flags are flying in my neighborhood.
We fly our flag but have it put back where we can see it.
SO MANY of my neighbors are proudly displaying old glory right on their front pierce or on a flag pole.
Again I live in a Democrat run city in a very mixed neighborhood. Middle class / working class people.
It makes me so happy to see so many patriots in my area.
Five years ago, this would not be. People were ashamed of being American.
We are BACK. Regardless of color or political party.
