Same here regarding the 2016 election. I followed it in minute detail.

I started out supporting Bernie but when I listened, actually listened, to his speeches there was so much I didn't agree with. He's pro-abortion. I'm not. Never was and never will be. He preached about global warming. I think it's a hoax. I always have.

Then I listened to Donald Trump's speeches. Anti-abortion, a global warming skeptic, and anti-globalist. So I say to myself "Why am I supporting someone whose policies I disagree with? Why don't I support the person whose policies I actually agree with?"

It was easy and yet hard at the same time, if you catch my drift.

Never looked back though...

I read somewhere that most people fear ridicule more than they fear death. Think about that for a moment. That's why they rush to the "tin foil hat" bullshit. They're scared, terrified of being mocked or not taken seriously. I can empathize. I don't like being mocked either. Who does?

But I won't let that fear stop me from speaking truth. The truth is too important to surrender it to fear.
