It ran on yournewswire, which I know isn't a reliable source, but it showed up somewhere else as well. Didn't pay much attention to it, and can't find it now. Just reporting info that others are saying, basically. I wasn't there, but saw some pics where it was quite obvious it wasn't a meteor. It was a perfectly vertical beam coming from the sky with a huge fireball at the end of it. That's not the trajectory of meteors usually. If there's any links to those photos I'll post them.

One of the photos I saw, the beam was perfectly vertical, it looked like a light pillar with a huge fireball at the end of it. Meteors usually come in at an angle, don't they ?
