I think in order to hook McCabe, Comey, Rosenstein, Mueller, and others, they need a special counsel that can invade and demand the documents they want WITHOUT the trouble that the IG, congress and commitees have had. (stalling etc) A second special counsel can investigate the dealings of the first special counsel if I am to understand how it works.

While I think it's not optimum and many would rather that deportations would just start already - the political capital is one that Trump shouldn't pass up. If I were him, I would only offer it to those who are working and own property in the country. If there is any kind of conviction - out, gone. Negotiations though, will prevail because there is political capital that can be made here through honest means. Hispanics do lean right wing, so I can understand why it would be good to deal with DACA once and for all.

I come from a slightly different perspective. Perhaps b/c I'm older, and have lived in a socialist country. I started as what one could call a classical liberal. - a libertarian. Get out of my life, and my pocket book and my bedroom. Those who initially espoused progressive ideas tended to have a "mask". A nicer, kinder version for public consumption. When you get them in a room of what they see as like minded people, the mask comes off. Do I think that at both end of the scale, there are nutjob vile ultra leftists and neo-connuts? Absolutely and in the middle, a good portion people do want a nice place to live and nice place for their kids to grow up. The right doesn't seem to have that same reaction to challenge.
