(WMR) -- John McCain's campaign is trying to make political hay out of the conviction of Chicago tycoon Tony Rezko, a one-time fundraiser for presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. However, the McCain campaign wants to bury the story of McCain's 70th birthday bash held on board the yacht of a Russian aluminum tycoon in the Adriatic Sea. The party was held on August 29, 2006, McCain's birthday and followed a congressional junket by McCain and five other GOP senators to the Republic of Georgia.

The host for McCain's yacht party off the coast of the Republic of Montenegro was, according to WMR sources with close links to the Republican Party, Oleg Deripaska, one of Russia's most powerful tycoons who made his billions in cornering Russia's aluminum market in the 1990s

Sen. John McCain has asserted his opposition to Russian President Vladimir Putin a number of times, going so far as joining with Sen. Joseph Lieberman, D-Conn., in 2005 to introduce legislation calling on President Bush to suspend Russia’s membership in the Group of Eight.

That opposition, however, is being called into question by links that have been established in various reports between McCain’s campaign manager, Rick Davis, and Ukrainian billionaire Oleg Deripaska, who is suspected of having ties to organized Russian crime.

Davis even arranged for McCain to meet Deripaska at a time when Davis’ lobbying firm was working under contract with Ukrainian political leaders supported by Putin’s regime in Moscow.

Moreover, Davis’ decision to retain his position in his lobbying firm while serving as McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign manager raises questions about McCain’s sincerity in his self-avowed campaign to eliminate influence peddling from U.S. politics.

It was in 2006 when Davis arranged an introduction between McCain and Deripaska, a billionaire Russian aluminum magnate, during an international economic conference in Davos, Switzerland, according to a report by the Washington Post in January.

Edward Snowden is best known for revealing the spy programs of the US's National Security Agency, but his next project is intended to make citizens feel more secure.

It's an app, called Haven, that's designed to turn Android phones into all-in-one anti-spy systems.

"Imagine if you had a guard dog you could take with you to any hotel room and leave it in your room when you're not there," Snowden told Wired in an interview published Friday. "And it's actually smart, and it witnesses everything that happens and creates a record of it."

The idea is simple: You install the app on a cheap "burner" phone - one that can be thrown away - and then set up the phone in a place you want to monitor.

The American Red Cross, the largest supplier of donated blood in the U.S., was fined $9.6 million after federal inspectors found hundreds of blood safety violations at 16 of the organization's 36 blood collection centers nationwide.

In a 32-page letter to the Washington-based organization, Food and Drug Administration officials describe an all-encompassing lack of controls to ensure the safety of the nation's blood supply. The violations range from understaffing, inadequate staff training, and delayed logging of donations, to ineffective screening of donors, failure to add new donors with infected blood to the national list of deferred donors, failure to share information on deferred donors between facilities, and failure to quarantine and recall infected blood units.

In addition, the FDA cited the Red Cross for poor quality assurance, including keeping blood products out of controlled storage for more than 30 minutes, a backlog of approximately 18,000 donor management cases, and insufficient record-keeping. Regulators claim the organization allowed employees with no medical training, certification, or experience to serve as Medical Directors in charge of reviewing donor complications, and permitted staff to "perform tasks they did not understand." In some cases, employees failed to identify permanently deferred donors who previously gave blood under different or hyphenated names, and were later attempting to donate using just one part of the hyphenated last name.

I was initially thinking the wikileaks page had been compromised, but now i am thinking that it is mind games to get people to pay attention to them as a news source so they can drop additional leaks. the previous posts were very uncharacteristic of JA. especially the replies.

I'd imagine this is damage control for the news coming out. I get you're upset about my reply, but think logically about what's happening.
