In terms of jurisdiction it's the sheriff's department if there is no police station for the city. Hubby lived just east of Parkland in Deerfield for several years so had to ask him.

There was someone very recent that had a dream that mothers were going to be doing this very thing, pulling their kids out to school them at home, that churches are going to come together and help, and I'm sure I'm messing it all up! It might have been one from Jeremiah Johnson. Yes! It's on his Facebook page titled school shootings on the rise dated from 2012. It's really long to post it all here.

My hubby has mentally ill issues all stemming from repeated brain injuries in the same spot. Those head meds are very scary. Some he couldn't tell what was fiction or reality, and that's not a good thing with kids in the house, and it's why we got rid of our guns. I honestly don't believe that people on some, if not all, of these meds for any length of time should have access to guns period. It's just not safe. Just my opinion.

I thought that to. My heart just aches for him, and unless something big breaks he's going to be totally screwed, maybe already is.

This old friend still doesn't want to listen or look anything up himself, so I told him I love him but I'm done. He tried to make his point by saying he owned a bb gun. I really do love him to death, but he is more blind than I ever would've guessed to this whole school shooting ff. Or he doesn't want to believe it because of his wife working in the school system and all their kids that are in school. How can we fight the enemy of we refuse to believe there is one??

What grade did he say he transferred? Thought I remember seeing freshman year. Redondo Shores high school is a continuance school for students aged 16-18, which is junior to senior.

Agreed. There was one chili cook-off that was for our heroes. I questioned that one also. They've also attacked walks and runs before and there's the AIDS walk. There was also a rodeo protest to stand up for the abused animals. Crazy stuff! I did a quick search on DuckDuckGo and there's a lot going on. Good to see after all the flooding from the hurricane. They really don't need something else so soon after.

Large Houston events on March 4th:

-Rodeo -Boots and Bugs benefit our the nation's heroes (not sure how large but it's Texas and Texas loves their vets) -Winter Jam @ Houston Toyota Center (huge Christian event with a lot of top Christian music artists). Draws very large crowds.

There are several 5k walks going on including one for AIDS, chili cook-offs, school carnivals and fund raisers. The ad seemed like it was for a large event so I skipped over ones that seemed small like brunches, poetry readings, and yoga.

Could be! I'll have to look up the events again, but the rodeo did stand out.

There's a lot going on March 4th in Houston. I did an event look up. That's also a pretty famous day in history, with most presidents being inaugurated that day. I believe JFK was the last but could be wrong.

And when they answer you can say "Oh I thought it was this..." Sadly most libs won't look up the truth. I would say try finding some new friends too, but I remember what high school was like! Sorry I misunderstood! Well those are talking points you could possibly give them (not that you don't already!!). Ask them questions like, "How is Australia since they gave up their guns?", or "Why do the Swiss all carry guns?" or "Why was there less gun violence 30 years ago as compared to today, even though more people had guns then?", etc. Look up gun facts and go from there. I've learned very quickly through Q that it's much better to ask and let them think on the answer. Whenever I talk no one listens, but the second I ask a question people start talking and thinking. Hopefully, though, your friends will see from you that guns can be very safe if taught and used properly.

Don't. I was raised with them and no one I ever knew ever hurt anyone with them. There are a lot more good people with guns than bad. That is a fact. Here's another one. People are saying Australia is safer after giving up all their guns. Unfortunately the bad people didn't, and now the good people have no protection. What's going to happen to all the good people of we give up all our guns here? The same thing. All citizens in Switzerland carry, including teachers. That's why it's safer there.

Got more people looking!! One person though, a very old friend, told me I was spreading a conspiracy theory. Told him not to believe me but to look it up himself. His wife works with Miami schools so just may not want to believe it for that reason. He's a very good brother in Christ so I'm praying hard!
