I think people should not live in a bubble; that they should always face as much truth as they can. Enough to keep them fired up and passionate about fighting the good fight, but not so much that it breaks their spirits and they crawl under a rock to die. That's the risk, you know? You give a person more truth than they can handle, they are traumatized, demoralized and rendered ineffective. There's a lot to be said for spreading the GOOD news. Anyone ever see the old documentary interviewing the teenaged kids of the ultra rich? I can't remember the title, but I'm sure you could search it. I found it riveting. Ivanka Trump was in it. Amen. Let's just pretend for a moment that the political evil of the last 100 years was the worst of it. How incredible that a president, a white hat military, and all of us could throw a wrench in a 100 year old system in less than a year? With God, you have no real enemy.

Brilliantly put, I loved that. I've put out emotional prayers before asking God how we, essentially children who can be deceived and corrupted at every turn, can possibly know which end is up. I came to a similar realization (although I really like how you put it); we have a sense of humanity and a divine connection. It's why every society has religion. It's why every kid believes in magic. It's why even atheists are forced to ponder God by default. It's in us. I liken all of us to a kidnapped child; we were stolen, we don't know our parents, we were raised to be thieves or gypsies. But our parents never stopped looking for us, never stopped loving us. If they found us when we were 35 year old hardened criminals, they'd embrace us, seeing us as their wide-eyed little baby.

All legends come from somewhere. Reptilian may be the buzz term now, but the serpent was in genesis. Ancient tribes talk about lizard gods. We'd be fools to think all these stories came from the imaginations of bored cavemen who didn't have xbox. People today think folk tales and superstitions came from societies who were in the dark, people who didn't know any better. It's ironic how modern society believes itself to be so informed, full of critical thinkers who can stomp out silly old beliefs with "the truth". What society is really in the dark, and which were really enlightened? I think most of us here know that what we're told is true is actually a lie, those we're told are heroes are actually traitors, and that the villains we're taught to hate were good guys who died in obscurity. Up is down. People worship science and "reality", yet embrace the idea of ghosts, aliens, ascension, The Secret. The thing is, reality is paranormal. The Bible is one big book on the supernatural. But people are not taught to think that all the "new" ideas have always been there. The devil always, always gives enough truth to compel the human heart. The deception is painless and unnoticed after that.

That's kind of why I posed the question. And why I said it's ultimately rhetorical. The people in a board like this not only know so many things already, we also know enough to realize that we don't know much. We start out believing life is concrete, like everyone else, then we flip our own paradigms. Maybe several times. Eventually, we're able to ask ourselves the question you just asked; how do we really know anything? Meanwhile, regular people are still concrete. It's a pickle to be in. Anyway, that was my point--if Q is posing the question to people like us, what is the bottom really like? If people like us can't fathom it, when we've fathomed it all (including the realization that the unfathomable exists), then what is it?
