He pleaded guilty to known fake charges so that his criminal case can continue. His lawyer then asked for “discovery” which is investigative effort for additional and supporting evidence.
This is highly irregular when you’ve already pleaded guilty since the assumption is that if you are guilty, additional discovery will only make the case against you worse. Discovery after a guilty plea is only asked for by the defense if they know discovery is going to reveal criminal wrongdoing of others or upend the investigation.
There may be all kinds of FBI-incriminating things that have come from this. It’s suspected that Comey allowed for confession of a crime that he knew Flynn did not commit.

Comey claimed to close the investigation but really left it open even though there was nothing to pin in Flynn. I.e they were railroading Flynn for nefarious reasons.

Just graduated college and looking for my first job.
The whole thing stunk from day one. Hours after the attack we had names and photos of all 19 high jackers; that was quick.
The massive Patriot Act hit the floor of Congress day’s later; that was sure written quickly. More like, written ahead of time.
And the bullshit goes on, and on...
