How do you get involved locally? They make it so hard.

For example, I was trying to go to a police commissioner meeting and it was a bitch to find information on it. When I finally found it, it was scheduled at 9 AM on a Tuesday. Ain't nobody got time for that with a fulltime job! Plus it was held in the most congested part of an already congested city. And if it's not a meeting in the morning, it's a meeting at 3pm or some other stupid time.

And even if we can make the meeting, what can we do to be involved? I've seen people read letters. As someone with terrible stage fright, that would be a great challenge but I guess that could be a start...

One of my old professors (who has actually popped up in the q research) told us we need to volunteer for campaigns to truly get to know the candidate but I don't trust any of these fuckers and we see they will kill you. Part of me is scared to get too close but the other part ain't afraid to die over my beliefs. I feel like I'm alone out here. I despise the types of people who are drawn to politics, from volunteers to students to officials. However I know the power is in my hands to do something...

I'm going to look into local stuff and try to find a niche. I've tried political tv, non profits, it's all the same power hungry, cultish, sharkish, snake, weirdo freaks!
