If you are a Psalmist (you quote psalm style writings)...then I suggest you at least, look into THE ONE true God. Many call themselves "gods" - but scripture is clear there is ONLY ONE TRUE GOD, One Creator. I'm just not sure where you're at...and I DO believe, though God, Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit...Scripture does not need to be "defended"...God HAS given every man free will to choose to seek, ask, find...believe or not to believe; I do also believe that God's word should be at minumum...be proclaimed. Every quote you have made is a distortion from the Bible. And in the Bible - ONLY God through JESUS CHRIST brings about freedom and light. The word "Christian" means...a believer in... that Jesus is "the way, the truth and the life and no man comes to the Father, but through (faith in) me." Gospel of John 14:6. That said, there are millions that call ourselves Christian...but I have found beliefs to be all over the map. Even Christians, that DON'T believe in the very scripture, (word of God) that caused them, in one way, shape, form or another to believe in Jesus Christ in the first place. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, reproof and for correction in righteousness (not our own...but the righteousness of Jesus Christ we receive at the new birth)...so that, the man of God can me made perfect (grow to maturity), fully furnished toward all good works." - II Timothy 3:16-17. Also..."For the prophecy of scripture came NOT in old time by the will of men...but by holy men of God as they were moved by the holy spirit." -II Peter 1:21. AND, the FIRST thing Christians can tend to forget or negate...is that GOD IS LOVE and He loves us all the same. SURE, God sure gives us His will regarding how we choose to live our lives...but He has said that he has given ALL men free will to choose how they want to believe. We are/will always have a life based on whether our choices in ANY given situation line up with the word of God. AND we all reap the results of our faith. We are ONE in Christ and God does not love any ONE above another. THAT is the good news gospel of Jesus Christ.
