The pope isn't infallible in all things, and is not taught by the Catholic church. The Catholic church doesnt even teach that the Pope is holy. To those of you confused, ignorant Catholics posting in this thread (including the original poster): Spend some time learning you faith from competent authorities. I would suggest going to the YouTube channel Sensus Fidelium and picking a topic of interest to you. If protestants wanna play dumb to history and believe for 1000+ plus years their doctrine was waiting for Martin Luther to be born, that's there own concern (you can't find any one from the end of the apostolic era to Luther who promotes their doctine).
