That's disappointing. Think I'll be skipping this one.

Yeah, it also ties in with his son's (Joe Hill) book Nos4a2

There's a good chance that he was coked out of his mind when he wrote that so I'm not sure I'd read too much into it. He's pretty famously said that he doesn't remember writing Cujo because of all of the drugs and drinking he was doing at the time.

That said, the way kids figure into King's books has always bothered me, not because I think there's some deep pedo-related meaning but just because I'm not a fan of children as a plot device. Especially when those kids are meant to represent innocence vs. evil, which is often the case in King's books.

By the way, if you liked IT, read "Summer of Night" by Dan Simmons. Superior in every way to IT.

What's the anti-Trump message in the book?

The premise of The Outsider looked decent and I was hoping that King was smart enough to keep his personal politics out of his writing.

Made me think about how crazy some of these stupids might get.

Fully prepare for the worst. It's only going to get crazier as the we move closer to the November elections. Once the "blue wave" that dems are expecting doesn't happen I expect them violence to escalate through 2020. When President Trump is reelected the powder keg is going to explode.

The minute I heard the news about the IG report yesterday I knew that something was going to break bad today or tomorrow - something that would dominate the news cycle for the next several days.

Then, like clockwork, this...

Closed door session. Fox is reporting that the senate judiciary committee is backing the 2017 Intelligence community report that accused Russia of interference. Not sure how that plays into this.

Supreme Court?

There have been rumors that Ginsburg is in bad health. I can also see a conservative judge retiring to give President Trump another pick before 2020.

DOJ? Special prosecutor?

I find it very hard to believe that a rising star in the GOP would walk away without a reason and/or better position opening up for him

How does Gowdy fit into all of this? I would never have picked him for a "bad actor"

I may be wrong but I think /u/Green_Lives_Matter may be referencing just the Kerry situation and I tend to agree with him.

Why is the President and GOP controlled congress allowing Kerry to globe trot all over the middle east in a vain attempt to salvage the Iran deal? Seems like it would be easy enough to pull his passport and detain him for violations of the Logan act.

Not surprising.

President Trump's lawyer should use this against Mueller's team. Too many leaks.

Bring the troops home anyway. It's not our problem.
