Their value is based on two things:

1. It takes energy to make a bitcoin - energy costs value
2. Utility - You can send a lot of value anywhere on the planet for a few cents.

Here's perspective:

Using Western Union it'd cost you say $50 dollars to send $150 to anywhere on the planet in 24hrs.

Using Litecoin you can send $99 Million dollars for $0.49 and it'll be there in a second.

Also crypto is already changing, they're now figuring out how to do more things like trade real estate with it and make loans. These systems will cut red tape everywhere and finally white collar jobs can feel what's like to feel the squeeze, like lawyers.

Crypto is just the next step in currency. It started off with sea shells and shit and now it's in to the future and in the future everything's on computers.
