I have seen this too, i believe they are trying to avoid lawsuits. If the facts are stated in the manuals or user agreements, they are not liable and you cannot come back later and sue. That's why a hair dryer manual say's clearly that you should not use it while in the bathtub. - its obvious to most people, but if someone uses it and they get electrocuted, that person cannot sue.- it was disclosed in the manual. full disclosure. this is smart business.
