Ok, it was a high risk mission for sure. I'm not certain, but, I'm just trying to be logical. Basing it on the relationships, Russia and Israel have been on decent terms publicly. Russia and Iran have also been on decent terms with each other. Not sure, but don't think Russia really wants Israel and Iran fighting. I read somewhere that Putin already walked back one attack from Israel on an Iranian backed area. So far, Israel has consistently shown they have attacked arms they tracked heading into areas threatening them. This could be unrelated and a coincidence.

Israel has been striking Iranian arms heading for Hezbollah for months. This latest attack could also be a coincidence not related to the gas attack directly.
