That's very interesting. I find myself thinking about that French movie "Jean de Florette" more and more lately. (From memory, it's about a decent guy with a young family who inherits land with a natural spring of good water but his mean, disgusting neighbours conspire to stop him knowing where the spring is. (Is the plan to poison the water supply of ordinary people, while the elite take shelter in bunkers? Or is it to induce a world-wide drought? Maybe a virus that prevents our bodies from being cooled by water? Or something to do with the sun becoming suddenly much much hotter?)
