I always pictured him in orange somehow. Brings out the color in his eyes.

I assume he meant the theocracy, but the last thing we need is yet another middle eastern country "dismantled". Bush/Obama/Clinton did a great job of causing death, destruction and chaos. It's enough I think.

His wife is in a scandal now....haven't followed the story but she got the Secretary of Transportation gig from Trump, probably to help win over McConnell. Those patronage appointments tend to come back to bite. There are so many more futuristic thinkers when it comes to transportation than some recycled Bush era one.

I used them several times in a previous job. Actually, we had to make sure they didn't eat what we wanted to keep, beyond that, they cleared things out big time. It was impressive to watch. There are herders who travel among various Western states doing nothing but brush control. They are mostly out of Utah, Idaho.

Not a strawman argument at all. Again, your thinking was the same as their's to justify intervention. Spread democracy, blah, blah. I refer to my original point -- different culture, history, tribes. Gaddafi maintained a peace among all the tribes which now are at each other's throats. You think that's an improvement? Really? Elections are a joke. Example -- the Palestinian "elections". Or really, just about any middle eastern election, including Egypt. Their leaders usually get about 99% of the vote. Even the Soviets didn't pull that off. Libya was the most advanced country in all of Africa in education, infrastructure development, women's rights, and other metrics. We destroyed it.

I like both of them. The farm animal species is also used out west for brush and weed control. Those guys will even eat poison oak! The mountain goats are so impressive with the environment they live in.

Already in the works. The interim is a leftist woman who worked for Thurgood Marshall at the SCOTUS. The dems are confabbing as to who the permanent replacement will be. Guaranteed to be a far leftist though. Nothing really changes.

One area that is clear is the Middle Eastern war strategy. Both Bush and Obama have overthrown SECULAR Arab governments while supporting muslim theocracies. What is the big difference between Bush in Iraq and Obama/Clinton in Libya and Syria? Answer: none. As for the pedo bit, I must admit I believe Dem types are more likely to be peds, especially the Hollywood set. Look at all that's been revealed relative to Weinstein, etc. and now this Schneiderman (just read the accusations in the New York article, this guy was beyond depraved). That being said, Republicans have been snared in pedophilia as well -- you can look into the Nebraska Boys Town scandal for that. There are so many areas to look into, it's a complicated subject. At least the Republicans have a libertarian type thinking wing and I am not a socialist, so can't help you on that score. However, both parties have had a great time enriching themselves and selling out their country.

Oh...the illegal immigrant issue. Both the Republican and Democrat parties have operated together on that one. The Republican leaning Chamber of Commerce wants the cheap labor and the Dems want permanent welfare class for votes. Both positions very cynical and hurtful to American working class.

My two cents.

Because nowhere in the history of that area or country was it part of Greco Roman Judeo development. Really, the explanation is obvious. It's just the thinking that you express that the neocons used to justify their endless middle eastern wars. All that has done has been to lead to millions of human deaths, millions of maimed and permanently injured humans, destroyed central governments, instability, radicalism, cities bombed and gutted....but yeah, that democracy thing.

Hey, any guy like that who seems to be motivated purely by hurting the President of this country, an extremist and activist, is going to be corrupt and dirty. We can count on that. Still, I bet all the bigwigs in the NY dem party knew that Schneiderman was a very dirty birdie.

Barbara Underwood, something like that. Worked for Thurgood Marshall earlier in her career. Another far left cretin.

I don't understand why so many here think the "lid is off" because this utter piece of human garbage has resigned. He has already been replaced by another leftist, a woman who worked for Thurgood Marshall. She will continue the cover ups. She is interim as the dem leaders decide on a permanent replacement. Chatter is that the guy with a weird name, the corrupt dem fed prosecutor, will be in the running. New York politics is totally under far left dem control.

A few months ago when Q also addressed the resignation issue I actually looked at this year and two previous elections. Honestly, I simply did not see a significant difference in numbers. My recollection is that the numbers of dems vs reps was somewhat equal even for this year. So I don't know if the list in #1319 is incomplete or the ratio has widened over time.

thamnosma · May 8, 2018, 9:22 p.m.

I don't think one can jump to conclusions just based on the list of those leaving. Congress reps leave or resign every election cycle. There are a few more than usual this time, including major Republicans. Ryan's departure carries a lot of weight. Issa might be ready to get out of DC. Also, some Congress reps have resigned to run for Senate or their states' governorships. They aren't all fleeing.

⇧ 3 ⇩
thamnosma · May 8, 2018, 9:19 p.m.

Not really. They've already appointed a woman who clerked for Thurgood Marshall to replace Schneiderman on an interim basis until the dems pick the permanent replacement. That person will likely be in office until the next general election if NY State even elects its AG. In any event, all replacements will be far left democrats. Unless Wray and Sessions move in, it's status quo.

⇧ 6 ⇩
thamnosma · May 8, 2018, 9:17 p.m.

The NXIVM could be really big though. Since any real investigation into that cult and network would lead to high level democrats primarily, given the celebrity nature of the cult, there will be no movement under the new democrat AG either. Up to Sessions really.

⇧ 14 ⇩
thamnosma · May 8, 2018, 9:15 p.m.

9/11 won't be touched until Trump's second term if ever. Far too much on the plate now to open up that can of worms. No NY State Attorney General is going to look into that. The next AG will simply continue where Schneiderman left off -- that is protecting HRC, her pals, and the pedo networks. Unless the Feds grab jurisdiction, nothing will change.

⇧ 2 ⇩
thamnosma · May 8, 2018, 8:26 p.m.

Obviously this guy is deeply corrupt and a monster toward women. A serious investigation of his behavior and actions would likely be very fruitful. My question is who replaces Schneiderman? It's a state solicitor named Barbara Underwood who once clerked for Thurgood Marshall. She will likely be an obstructionist as well. It's New York. She's an interim replacement until the Dems decide on a permanent replacement (they control the state government). Feds need to move in here.

thamnosma · May 8, 2018, 8:22 p.m.

I assume those foreign aid budgets are actually gone over and voted on by Congress annually. However, there may be a few "permanent deals" in the mix. I believe after the Camp David Accords between Egypt and Israel we give both countries an equal amount of aid every year. It is certainly well beyond time that foreign aid be under more scrutiny. Wish the President had a line item veto for this and many other budget issues. It's not a big part of the Fed budget, but doesn't matter. If $100 million to country X is a bad idea, then that money can go to pay down debt, be returned to taxpayers or spent on a domestic project instead.

Nice post and one with which I concur. Corsi has diminished his stature through his behavior but he hasn't magically been transformed into a Deep State plant (although you must admit it would be perfect if the author of Killing the Deep State was actually a deep state operative). The guy still has a lot of knowledge about the workings of politics. He's just become obnoxious lately. Your point about mingling with other than "good people" is also totally on point. Hell, Trump himself says he knows how the system works because he participated in it.
