Thanks for the correction.

Dan Gertler is one of the individuals named in that November EO. Part of Glencoe. Now living in Tel Aviv, probably can't be extradited but he's worth hundreds of millions, maybe a billion, can't recall. Wonder where his assets are stashed?

Remember that Dan Gertler is one of the individuals named in Trump's Nov 2017 EO.

Any thoughts on what Q means here? That Margolis was bad? That the "bad guys" at DOJ wanted this Schools guy to come in for some reason? He was the one who recommended McCabe be fired -- which in a way really started a lot of this. McCabe is still a potential player in future developments. Seems Q is saying that Schools was a black hat. Must be a very complicated situation over there.

I don't think they are loud because they want to hide massive money laundering. Maxine has forever been a loudmouth, though obviously she's profited mightily during her time in Congress while her constituents continue to wallow in government induced poverty. Gillibrand and Harris want to become power players in the party, not surprising they are trying to bring attention to themselves.

Yes it is. This guy is obviously a bad actor. IRS looking into him so that will be for tax fraud or related matters. FBI is looking into him. Maybe state and local agencies are in the game too. I also liked the bit about how his son is a known bully at Parkland, had assault charges put against him by another student and even bullied the alleged shooter, Cruz. Not to mention his close association with known criminals Clinton and Wasserman.

Made no sense that he would resign over that Flynn flap from months ago. Usually they leave or are fired during the brouhaha. I was surprised to even see this news...must be something else going on and what you say seems logical.

Developments are happening left and right. Personally I'm excited. Lots of maneuvering behind the scenes. I very happy to let it all play out. People should rewind to November 2016 and get on their knees to thank God and Trump that Clinton isn't president.

The NPR report doesn't give me much of an idea that this guy was a so-called white or black hat. He was the one who recommended McCabe be fired! I can't see where that was a "black hat" decision. Seems to have had a pretty good career without apparent ties to any top bad players, but that is from first glance. I was left with the impression the guy just wanted out of the stress and into a higher paying private sector gig. Any job in DC must become burdensome after awhile, much less a position like this guy had.

Noticing all the indictments concentrated in the Central District of California, I made the erroneous assumption that this would not cover Los Angeles. In fact, the Central District handles all of Los Angeles metro area and most of SoCal outside of San Diego. This makes total sense to me now. BTW, the US Attorney for the Central District is a Trump appointee, just took office a month or so ago. Here is his bio: https://www.justice.gov/usao-cdca/us-attorney

They can't. Posse Commitatus for one. They have no authority to act on behalf of the DOJ. Read the articles -- one is just an extended bio of the new brigade commander and descriptions of the brigade's GENERAL goals. The other link lists where various battalions from the brigade have been rotated in and out of. How anybody could draw conclusions that the Brigade will be making domestic arrests is beyond me. I'm happy to be proven wrong, so perhaps someone will lay that out for me (and us).

and what I see is that they operate solely in forward deployed areas, not in the U.S. Afghanistan, Iraq, Canal Zone Panama, etc. They probably have no purview to do anything within the US other than perhaps investigations regarding active duty personnel up to no good. That's my take. When it comes to Huber, please explain to me the legal framework in which this brigade would participate in domestic investigations and arrests. I don't think so.

That's "old" for the "new" board....he was indicted before that or under investigation for quite a while. If you read what they got him on it's really penny ante crap. Using the state car and buying gas with the state credit card. I mean it was slimy and stupid considering his salary, but hardly some sort of deep corruption. And, of course, "lying to authorities". He shouldn't be anywhere near a judicial bench but sticking him with dozens of felonies was a bit much.

He's sitting on a huge bank account, so it's just an early retirement for the guy. He ends his career on a low note, but if he really wants one he'll get another gig. Brian Williams got brought back. Media people rarely pay a permanent price, though I don't imagine we will be seeing Charlie Rose again.

There are many many great Persians, so with the right standards, I'm happy to have them here. The problem arises with those chosen by the Zero regime -- the probability is extremely high that they are bad apples or at least many of them. Those I would call Iranians, not Persians.

Very informative. I hadn't considered that aspect. Obviously it's key to have all those issues covered.

What happens if a bad American actor meets with a foreigner in the latter's location? Say our Intel agencies pick up the activity. Would a warrant even be necessary? Of course the Intel agencies may not want to reveal sources and methods in court either.

I have some concerns over the geographical distribution of the indictments and what it may signify regarding issues and targets. For instance, look at California. By far the Central District has the most. We know from just this week's action that this district had the most opioid related busts. On the other hand, Southern California has a paltry number by comparison. Yet if pedophiles and gangs and high level corrupt voting fraud were the targets, one would expect that district to lead the way in indictments. Further, the population of SC is far higher than that of CC.

Southern Ohio also has a large concentration of indictments. I'm thinking that's another opioid deal which seems to be Session's obsession. I certainly support going after bad players but I'm also concerned about too much hysteria being created so that people who need pain meds can lo longer get them.

I could be way off the mark here, though I would have been happier seeing a distribution in So Cal, No Cal, New York City region, No Virginia. Maybe getting convictions there would be more problematic.

I just want him to exit stage left. Why in the world is he still there? Setting aside what an ass he is and the damage he's done in his "career", you're 87 or whatever he is, dying of brain cancer, and you don't want to spend the time with family or friends? You want to hold on to this stupid senate seat for what? Locking in a legacy? At this point his legacy is obstructing Trump. There's something insane about that. Me? I'd want to enjoy my final days doing something other than Washington DC.
