The recount wasn't intended to find new votes for Hillary. Stein was suing / filing for recount in three States that Trump won. Stein waited until literally the last minute to file and delay vote certification as long as possible. If vote certification was delayed beyond the deadline for the electoral college, it could have been possible to have Hillary win by reducing Trump's ec votes through technicality and bureaucracy. Recounts eventually stopped because Stein was challenged in court and it seemed apparent to several judges what she was up to.
In Christian theology there is a person /event / thing known as the katechon or “restrainer“ who holds off revelation / Antichrist for some time. It's not really clear what it is supposed to be as it's not really elaborated on the Bible but there are different theories about it (one of them being the revival of the Holy Roman Empire)
