Speaking of old CIA assets kicking the bucket, I doubt it's mere coincidence that Charles Manson happened to die during all of this. Manson was supposedly connected to the CIA, which is why he was always around famous people despite being a bum. I guess the CIA couldn't keep up with whatever arrangement they had with him while they're in panic mode, so they cleaned up that loose end.

I realize that's a very tangential connection to all of this, but the Hefner stuff reminded me of it.
