strongest party will lose power, due to the letdown of their expected control, fourth strongest party will suffer and one of the weaklings will suffer.
The SPD (pinko socialists) are in 2nd place right now and might still be after re-elections, but this might either create new voters for the afd or cause a power vacuum for our dear AfD-lings
Let me give you another hint as to how fucked the situation is:
Without Jamaica (CDU+FDP+Greens) and GroKo (SPD+CDU) the CDU is absolutely beyond any capabillity to find any party candidate enough to help them muster a majority within our parliament.
Now we're entering foreign territory. everything could happen, including spontaneous combustion.
Who says nobody knows what they do?
A coalition means you compromise with the more powerful party to find a common ground in both programs, you see a leftie and a afd could never form a government since their programs directly oppose eachother.
no plurality in any sense, they put themselves together and the two still have to stand before the elected parliament when legislating laws etc. which has to agree by majority for it. so the SPD and CDU would have to agree for their legislations to work, or they'd just brake eachother's progress.
