LONDON— ROBERT MAXWELL, one of Britain's leading publishers and an outspoken socialist whose tussles with trade unions have mired him in controversy, is back in battle again. He is going head to head with rival publisher Rupert Murdoch to become the next press lord of Fleet Street.
He is an avowed socialist, yet is one of Britain's richest men, with a fortune estimated at $200 million. The son of a Czechoslovak peasant, Mr. Maxwell came to England during World War II and stayed on to build a publishing empire from virtually nothing. Mr. Maxwell, who learned English in six weeks and is fluent in eight other languages, perceived a postwar need for the publication of scientific information and, in 1951, acquired a small publishing house.
That house is today Pergamon Press, a leading scientific publisher and Europe's largest computerized scientific data base.

Leonid Brezhnev immediately invited Maxwell to Moscow. The conversation took place one-on-one in Russian, without interpreters or protocol. Much brought them together: past combat, a love for cars, hunting and drinking. Robert became the General Secretary’s friend, and they met regularly. Western intelligence analysts impatiently awaited reports on their discussions. CIA, MI6 and Mossad achieved their goal: their man had gained entry into the Kremlin’s halls of power.
And so began a line of publications of “dear Leonid Ilyich’s” works throughout the world. Brezhnev gloried in the praises his books received. After Brezhnev’s death, Captain Bob developed contacts with new general secretaries – Andropov, Chernenko and Gorbachev. And he remained the Kremlin’s most important propagandist of the Soviet system abroad. The Central Committee’s agitprop generously paid for Maxwell’s services from state coffers. It stands to note that Lubyanka correctly thought that Western intelligence services were using Maxwell as a disinformation channel to the Soviet state. But they couldn’t do anything. Maxwell, after all, had reached a level inaccessible to Lubyanka. He was in contact with the elite of the nomenklatura, untouchable even to the Chekists.[2]
By the middle of the 1980s, Moscow had come up against the global challenge posed by the United States. CIA Director Casey developed a new plan for fighting the USSR. A special role was set aside for Maxwell’s empire – to roll out a campaign of support for Gorbachev’s ruinous policy. The very author of Perestroika was satisfied working with Maxwell. The pro-Gorbachev Pravda and Moskovskie Novosti began publication in English in the West. Raisa Gorbacheva’s Our Heritage could be found next to popular glossy magazines. All this was secured by Maxwell. World popular opinion took “Gorby’s” side. But in his home country, the explosive potential of the people’s dissatisfaction was building.

This latest revelation about close Clinton friends dates back to 1994, but we’ll start with Hillary’s 2000 run for Senate in New York. That year, one of Hillary’s extremely wealthy donor friends in New York was dumping a lot of cash into supporting her run.
That person was Dale Djerassi, the son and heir of Carl Djerassi (inventor of the birth control pill). After pouring thousands of dollars into Hillary’s campaign, a big scandal erupted that caused the Clintons to distance themselves from Dale Djerassi.
It turns out that back in 1994, Djerassi had been a participant in one of the wildly anti-Christian “art” projects that was being funded by the NEA. In this particular “art” exhibit, a naked man in a Batman mask was being whipped by a couple of guys as he carried around a crucifix like Jesus.
The Catholic League was rightly outraged by this blasphemous display posing as art, which was paid for by the US taxpayers. The League demanded that Hillary return Djerassi’s campaign donations. We don’t know if she ever did, but she publicly distanced herself from Djerassi at the time.
But 12 years later, Hillary repaid the favor the same way that she has always repaid favors to the donor friends of the Clintons: She gave Dale Djerassi’s son, Alex, a cushy post at the State Department.
Alex Djerassi landed his big job at the State Department in 2012, and stayed on the job until 2015, right before Hillary left the State Department.
The younger Djerassi was just 25 years old when he landed this position.
According to his bio, young Alex Djerassi was put in charge of the State Department’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, covering the Middle East. He worked directly on the Arab Spring, and Hillary sent Alex as the US representative to the expatriate rebel groups Friends of Libya and Friends of the Syrian People.
In other words, Hillary put the inexperienced son of one of her donors in charge of handling two of the biggest foreign policy debacles of the Obama administration: Libya and Syria.
What’s this have to do with the Clintons’ connections to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell? Everything.
