Hey all this is BakerTools anon. Just wanted to make some corrections about the tool.

 

Baker Tools

  • Despite the name, its not just for bakers. It's expanded far past that and is just a general tool to make following breads easier for everyone.

 

  • It has many features that allow you to navigate long / fast breads easier.

 

  • Very configurable from the main bakertools window

 

Where do I get the latest version of Baker tools

  • The latest version should always be in the dough of research breads.

  • This is part of my "release" process when I put out a new version, ill announce in research bread to get new dough.

  • I will also make a post in the codefags thread.

Okay, I thought i knew what you meant but this threw me off:

Do you want the ability to filter the bread to only show q posts

 

or

 

do you want something to indicate that q has posted beyond seeing it in the scrollbar or in the navigator controls?

 

Maybe you two are asking for 2 diff things?

The bakerwindow has all the configurability, have you seen it?

 

Here in this screenshot i have all of the features turned. You can still see the bottom right status with q post number.

 

Is there something else that needs to be turned off?

 

There shouldnt be anything extra on your screen except for the bottom right corner. the bakerwindow is hidable

  1. I'm going to add a ticket to disable color/format changes. I figured the color customization widgets would be a good stopgap since it was another request I had and could almost accomplish what you wanted there. pareto rule and all.

 

  1. Point 1 addresses this. Will add in a future release

 

  1. I didn't change colors for any fields/forms/elements that didn't have additional meaning/function such as greentext /pinktext. I will add a request for this but its probably going to be closer to the bottom of the queue for now.

 

  1. I will add a ticket for that bottom corner status window configuration. (hide/show uids/notables) as well as bold the text.

No, 8kun does all the dynamic functionality like loading posts and all that wit its own native javascript. It also loads custom javascript like bakertools using…. javascript! This can get really quirky.

 

Even however 8kun is delivering its javascript or loading it can be weird after CM does upgrades. Ive had many a time wehre native started crapping out on me.

 

I dont know if its site related or ddos related. It def gets worse when the site gets attacked
