Walked around the property today. Doesn't look like there will be as many apples this year. Does look like a bumper crop of blackberries. Not ready yet. Did have some raspberries. All of the dandelion is edible, good for you, and not very tasty. Regular ol grass is edible and good for you. Probably the best way to do that is with a masticating juicer.

My understanding of dandelion wine is that you use the flowers for that. I'm not really sure what the point is. Yes, it's good for you. But does it 1) taste good or 2) contain a lot of sugar? Where I'm at, you get dandelions in spring, and they're done. Here, they're done. If you're looking for good things in lawns in July - clovers are also good for you. Apples have wild yeasts on them, do not really require anything. I've picked up the apples off the ground, run them through a juicer, combined the juice with the skins/leftovers (containing yeasts) and it becomes alcohol very quickly.
