The thing that bothers me about this is:
Why would the packages be mailed with Chinese writing? It would cause immediate suspicion, as has been the case.
It seems that the objective was to ensure that the people received the packages; not that they would actually plant the seeds.
I wonder if there is a common link, other than gardeners/farmers, between the people who have received these packages?
Geographical location, perhaps?

Mailed from China, when they could have been mailed from anywhere to hide the originator. Mislabeled so as to not raise suspicions from the USDA.

Could very well be, anon. But that leads me back to my original thought. The packaging has caused most of the people that have received them to question the contents; so no one is planting them. While it is possible, I can't imagine that the CCP (or whoever) would be so stupid as to think that this was a good plan, if they indeed wanted the seeds planted.
There are some on twatter that are raising the possibility of a bio-weapon. That makes more sense to me than the "plant the seeds" scenario. I wonder, though, if the purpose of these packages was to see how they would be handled. Sort of a test run for something more nefarious.
This has lead me to another thought: I wonder if POTUS's reversal on mask wearing is in case of a bio-weapon being released that the masks would actually be useful against. We are, after all, expecting another ff. People now have masks, and masks are being manufactured quite rapidly. That doesn't explain the left's fascination with them, however. Spitballing as well.
