Brookings Institute -Tracy r. Wolstencroft

 

After just one year on the job, National Geographic Society President and CEO Tracy Wolstencroft will be stepping down at the start of next month. (Oct 2019) No reason was given for the Wolstencroft's departure.

 

Previously, Mr. Wolstencroft was a longstanding partner at Goldman Sachs and served on its firm-wide partnership committee. Over the course of his 25-year career, he led a wide array of Goldman’s investment banking businesses and advised a diverse range of corporate and government clients across the U.S., Asia and Latin America. During his tenure, he spent four years living in Asia where he focused on China, Japan and Singapore.

 

Wolstencroft has served as co-Chairman of the International Rescue Committee (IRC), whose mission is to help refugees around the world, and continues to serve on the board. He is a trustee of the Brookings Institution, and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Wolstencroft graduated with a B.A. from Bowdoin College. He began his business career in the management training program at JPMorgan.
