Some thoughts. Our moon "seems" to be facing Eastern horizon, not downward. Moon always faces Sun- to the right, left downward, etc. Moon faces the Eastern horizon around sunrise. A 3/4 moon is roughly 6 hours ahead of the Sun. Late sunrises around 8 am do occur in Winter, so it might be possible Moon could be around there in that time an hour or half hour before sunrise. Did anon raise this possibility before? Consider the dawn pics of Corinthia Hotel. Possibility they are closer in time than previously thought? Could that be early morning traffic? But no buses? Thots?

Moon will be too far West near sunrise. New fav list 11/21/13, 12/18/13, 12/18/13, 1/19/14, 1/20/14, 2/18/14 and 2/19/14. December weekend dates changed to weekdays. Some dates are interesting in that a planet should be visible, but maybe is blocked? In all cases, to get to a 75% tide(as seen in Q pic) need to add 3h,20m(using Mariner's Rule converted for a 5-hr tide). In most cases above, the Q pic could reflect a 5.5 meter level and 1.5m to go.

As a fairly informed anon from General bread was looking at early 2014, let me just drop these night sky projections for November 21, December 18 and 19. These were favorite matches for moon. All moons have a close visitor whose visibility is excellent- Jupiter.

Also, November 21 had a not so great high tide of 6.32m which would only be 5.03m 3h20m(75%) compared with other poss dates. December 18 and 19 dates would have moon position in SW or SSW by the 75% tide level needed for a relative pic match in LMI6.

Thanks for the vid. Provides a KNOWN date with a visual of moon behind London Eye. From the group's website, I picked out they meet on the last Friday of the month. In this case, 28 AUG 2015. Site's diary said the ride began 6 to 6:30pm and that it lasted about 3hrs, 14min, ending at Buckingham Palace (starting at Waterloo Bridge?).

Am anxious to compare this visual to Q photo for an altitude (of moon)comparison but need to ask you your input on estimating time remaining in the ride at end of the Ytube vid. Time remaining for the ride can be estimated by a nav app showing a walk would take 15min a drive 5min. A bike ride? Around 10min? So, from the web blog, the ride would end approximately 9:45 to 10:15pm(depending where one is within the bike pack. Subtract 10 mins from that and we should find ourselves at Westminster Palace/Big Ben between 9:35p and 10:05p in the bike vid? Check my math and thots re timing? Because I want to do a night sky model using this timeframe. Will then post findings with altitude per night sky app.
