For those who wish to monitor the fire situation … heres the 'official' website. Sat detections, maps, fire perimeters AND… KML overlays. lots of good stuff.
What is happening is unthinkable, wrong, criminal AND >>these trees need to be harvested ASAP AFTER the fire is out to save them and the forest. (yeah its a thang) not let to rot on the ground so bugs can infestate. These trees can also be used for bio-fuel generation… (Darby MT highschool for instance)
so there is NO excuse for NOT logging and replanting to regenerate the land. otherwise…it will look like Afghanistan. Huge mtns of DIRT nothing else. If the sheep have no pasture where will they live?
